Cloud computing is great for running six salons in different locations

About the company

In 2002, Headon’s first salon was founded in Malmö and today they are one of Sweden’s leading hairdressing chains with six salons at attractive addresses in the city. In addition to working traditionally with customers, they also work creatively. Headon organizes shows and events and participates in competitions, winning many prestigious titles.

The image is divided into two parts: on the left is a hairdresser cutting a smiling customer sitting with a haircut, and on the right is part of the salon's interior with black barber chairs, a mustard yellow armchair, and a green plant in front of dark curtains. The atmosphere is both professional and inviting.

The challenge

Telavox has been meeting Headon’s growing needs for more than ten years. Henrik remembers being tipped off by a friend who is also an entrepreneur and was already a Telavox customer.

“We have had Telavox almost since the first salon opened. We were not happy with our previous telephony provider. They didn’t offer cloud switching and felt outdated. Plus they were expensive. Telavox is affordable and I save time because I can see and change settings myself. It’s an easy system to work in and the app is constantly evolving,” says Henrik Danielsson, founder and CEO of Headon.

The solution

From diving instructor to hair creator – Henrik Danielsson chose to follow in his mother’s hairdressing footsteps and dived into the stylist business. Today, he owns the award-winning Headon hairdressing chain, which has recently grown to six salons. Telavox has been along for the entire expansion journey.

“We’ve had Telavox almost since the first place opened. The cloud exchange is great when you run six salons in different locations,” says Henrik.

He lived a carefree life as a diving instructor in warmer climes. Now, 17 years later, he has more on his mind as the owner of the Headon hairdressing chain with 40 employees and seven self-employed chair renters.

“It’s a busy place. That’s why it’s important for me to have a telephony provider that has simple administration and can handle multiple salons. I have many new projects and depend on a flexible solution where you can manage changes yourself. The cloud exchange is great when you run six establishments,” says Henrik.

Johanna Bonow has been working as a coordinator at Headon for 2.5 years. She is impressed by how easy the app is to use.

“We are very satisfied. I can easily open and close the switchboard and transfer calls. And I can quickly create temporary answer messages for customers who call if we happen to be in training or unavailable for some other reason,” says Johanna.

The picture shows a hair salon with four black barber chairs in front of a long wooden table with mirrors, decorated with portrait photographs on the wall above. The salon is bright and minimalist, with large windows, white walls and green plants giving the room a fresh feel.

The result

As a coordinator, Johanna has a lot to keep track of – from making emergency calls to the plumber to handling marketing.

“I have a scattered everyday life, many unpredictable things happen in the salons. But that’s part of the charm of the job and I really appreciate the Telavox app where everything is gathered to make communication work. I can work proactively and get things done quickly by, for example, planning the whole year in the switchboard regarding holidays and so on,” says Johanna.

Henrik appreciates Telavox’s service and has gotten to know his personal Customer Success Manager very well over the years.

“The cooperation works really smoothly. I call my Customer Success Manager and all problems are solved,” says Henrik.

Tough competition for customers

“The hairdressing industry is one of the most competitive industries you can work in. You have to think of new and smart concepts to succeed. That’s why it’s great to have a telephony provider that thinks and acts the same way,” says Henrik.

Headon now has a new Customer Success Manager, Kristina Jankovic, who helped the hairdressing chain get started with its sixth salon.

“There were actually some technical problems with the last salon, something we had not experienced before. But Kristina was always on hand and solved whatever came up. Now it’s business as usual,” says Henrik.

The image shows a smiling woman with long, straight hair and a striped shirt, photographed against a light green background. Her eyes are turned to the side, and she looks happy and relaxed.

“I have a lot of hairdressers in my family and grew up in that world. That’s why it’s extra fun to have Headon as a customer. It’s an exciting company with a lot going on. They challenge their industry, are innovative and are constantly expanding. I want to create the best conditions for them to achieve the best results.”
